Clear (invisible) aligners

Most of our adult patients are attracted to clear aligner treatment because is it simple, removable and virtually invisible. They make an excellent treatment option for anyone who doesn’t want their treatment to show.

What is Invisalign® treatment?

Invisalign® treatment consists of a series of removable aligners made of flexible, clear medical-grade plastic. Through advanced 3D computer imaging, your individual aligners will be custom made based on your exact prescription.

During wear, these aligners are very low-profile and almost impossible to see. Instead of booking adjustment appointments, you’ll just switch to a new set of aligners every two weeks. Each set is shaped a bit differently to help guide your teeth into alignment.

Types of Invisalign® treatment

At Northern Orthodontics, we offer four types of Invisalign® treatment. Our goal is to find the perfect one for you.

  • Invisalign® Express: This Invisalign® treatment is the fastest treatment option. Designed to fix mild issues in the front six teeth, you can see results in as little as three months.
  • Invisalign® Lite: Invisalign® Lite is most suitable for patients with simple orthodontic issues in the front six teeth and takes around six months to complete.
  • Invisalign® Comprehensive: This Invisalign® treatment is the full treatment option for adults and teens. It’s ideal for even complex orthodontic issues and usually takes 12 to 24 months for completion.

The number of aligners is related to the complexity of dental problems, precision and the expected result quality. As a rule of thumb:

  • The more aligners, the longer the treatment.
  • The better the compliance from the patient, the shorter the treatment.

ClearCorrect® aligner treatment

An alternative almost invisible treatment option is ClearCorrect® clear aligners. Using scientifically advanced ClearQuartz™ tri-layer aligner material, these aligners use strategically and consistently applied pressure to move the teeth.

In addition to this, the edge of the aligners also extend past the gumline of your teeth, which means that the aligner is less likely to become loose and unseat whilst you wear them.

  • flexible aligners
  • comfortable fit
  • almost invisible
  • stain resistant
  • removable for eating, drinking, playing sports and brushing your teeth
