Metal braces are a classic, and the majority of people associate them with orthodontic treatment. However, modern braces just made things a lot better. Metal braces of today are more comfortable, lightweight and discreet than their predecessors.
Metal braces gently align your teeth using a system of brackets, archwires and elastics. A metal bracket will be attached to the front of each tooth using special adhesive, and the archwire will run through each bracket. It will all be held together with small elastics.
In order to progress through treatment, Dr Mojtaba will need to adjust your archwire on a regular basis. Putting small bends in your archwire will apply gentle but targeted pressure that will guide your teeth into the proper alignment over time.
